The Austrian Development Agency (ADA) is the operational unit of Austrian Development Cooperation. The ADA implements bilateral aid programs and projects in partner developing countries in collaboration with public institutions, NGOs, and private enterprises.
The central purpose of Austria’s aid is to contribute towards reducing global poverty, safeguarding peace and human security, and protecting the environment.
Thematic priorities in ADA of relevance for the Terra Viva Grants Directory include environment and natural resources; water supply and sanitation; rural development; and energy.
Grant Programs for Agriculture, Energy, Environment, Natural Resources
1 — Grants for Austrian civil society organizations. ADA co-finances Austrian NGOs and other Austrian civil society organizations for their programs and projects in the developing world. This is through a variety of funding instruments, each of which has different requirements regarding the grant amounts and cost shares that ADA will fund.
