Peru Opportunity Fund

The Peru Opportunity Fund links smallholder farmers in Peru with information, technologies, and capital to enhance their productivity, and to protect land and water resources.
The Fund takes a broad and integrated view of means to assist family farming in Peru through grants and loans. Beneficiaries are rural households, enterprises, and cooperatives.
Grant Programs for Agriculture, Energy, Environment, Natural Resources
Smallholder agriculture and rural livelihoods in Peru. Projects focus on education and capacity building; enterprise development; start-up funding; technical support; alternative rural livelihoods; and other cross-cutting issues.
Grants are to nonprofit charitable organizations in the USA and to organizations in Peru with equivalent charitable status, or that have a fiscal sponsor in the USA. The Fund is also willing to consider applications from for-profit companies that have a social mission.
There is no minimum or maximum grant size. However, the Fund will not finance more than 50% of a project’s budget.
Profiles can be prepared in Spanish or English, and they need to be submitted before an annual deadline.
If the Board approves the initial project profile, it will invite a full application.
