The Nando and Elsa Peretti Foundation is inspired by the founder’s concerns to defend the world’s environment and animals, and to empower children through their right to education and health.
Program areas in the Foundation are: Charity; Education; Medical Research; Construction; Cultural/Artistic; Campaigns; and Environmental Conservation.
Grant Programs for Agriculture, Energy, Environment, Natural Resources
Environmental Conservation. The Foundation supports the conservation of habitats and species in Italy, Europe more widely, and developing countries. Funded projects include examples in the following subject areas:
- Wildlife studies and conservation;
- Biodiversity inventories;
- Nature reserves and protected areas;
- Links between biological resources and local communities.
Grant recipients are nonprofit organizations worldwide. Most grant recipients in Environmental Conservation are conservation NGOs, wildlife foundations and institutes, and academic institutions which engage in environmental issues.
Applicants provide statements of organizational achievements related to the proposed project; a summary of the problem addressed and anticipated results of the project; project location; information about financial sustainability of the project; budget information and co-funding partners; and a project timetable.
Proposals may be submitted throughout the year.
