Stiftung Artenschutz

Logo Stiftung ArtenschutzFinancial support, technical consultancy and administrative assistance to perform conservation measures for critically endangered species or subspecies

Principal Office: Germany

The Stiftung Artenschutz (“Species Conservation Foundation”) is a joint initiative of respected zoos and nature conservation organisations.

The foundation aims to preserve animal species (and their natural environment) which, although under severe threat of global extinction, do not have a strong enough lobby for their conservation.

Grant Programs for Agriculture, Energy, Environment, Natural Resources

Financial support, technical consultancy and administrative assistance. Stiftung Artenschutz promotes conservation projects for highly endangered species (preferably, in the IUCN category critically endangered)

The projects funded should serve the objectives of in-situ conservation. However, funding may also include ex-situ conservation measures, if they are sensible and essential in order to maintain threaten species or populations.

Projects in ‘first-world countries’ such as Europe, North America or Australia, have less priority.

APPLICATION: Stiftung Artenschutz does not require any specific application format. The initial submission of a brief exposé is recommended.
