The International ReSource Award for Sustainable Watershed Management is intended to help raise awareness of the ecological, social, and economic significance of water and watersheds in developing and emerging countries.

ReSource Award. The ReSource Award provides recognition and funding to implement innovative measures for watershed management in developing and emerging countries. The emphasis is providing clean potable water for communities.
The ReSource Award is open to NGOs, private, scientific, and public institutions. Projects comprising more than one type of institution (e.g., public-private partnerships) are eligible.
Projects that win the ReSource Award generally involve community or regional institutions.
Each year, Swiss Re awards US$150 thousand to one or multiple projects.
Guidelines for submitting an application are posted in several languages. Applicants submit an initial application before a calendar deadline. The submission is made online and in English. Note: Applicants who are unable to submit applications online may request an alternative process, explained on the website.
In a second phase, Swiss Re requests full proposals from a selected sub-group of the initial applicants. An international panel evaluates the finalist projects, and selects the winners.
