The ERA-NET SUSFOOD2 and CORE Organic Cofunds (SF/CO) launches a joint call for transnational research project proposals on sustainable and organic food systems. The call aims to reinforce research cooperation between EU members and associated states to develop more sustainable food systems from production to consumption. The maximum budget is €1.5 million per research proposal. The call is open to research consortia comprised of a minimum of 3 independent legal entities from a minimum of 3 different SF/CO partner countries. The European Commission seeks to reduce carbon emissions resulting from deforestation and poor agricultural practices. The objective of this call is to improve the climate resilience of subsistence farmers in Timor-Leste through the application of rural climate smart practices and reforestation in targeted rural areas.
