The Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund (CEPF) invites applications for small grants to promote biodiversity conservation in the Mountains of Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan). Small grants are a maximum of US$20 thousand. Project proposals should be built on biodiversity conservation as a fundamental component. The Nordic Environment Finance Corporation (NEFCO) announces the applications for Baltic Sea Action Plan (BSAP) Fund. The Baltic Sea Action Plan Fund supports projects that will benefit the ecological well being of the Baltic Sea. The fund finances new initiatives and support activities across the Baltic Sea region including Estonia, Finland, Russia, Sweden, and Belarus. The Milken-Motsepe Prize in Green Energy is a global competition to reward entrepreneurs and innovators working to address the most pressing and immediate challenges related to access to green, renewable energy. Registration is free and open to anyone, with a US$1 million grand prize available for the winning team, and US$1 million in additional prizes. Teams from anywhere in the world can register and submit designs and business models. An independent panel of expert judges will select semi-finalist teams to receive US$20 thousand each. Land Innovation Fund — Deforestation-free Agriculture
The Land Innovation Fund (LIF) invites proposals for the implementation of projects that present innovative solutions to address urgent issues on climate and environmental agendas for sustainable, low-carbon, deforestation-free agriculture. This call focuses on the sustainable and deforestation-free soy supply chain in South America’s Cerrado, Gran Chaco, and Amazon biomes. The funding amounts vary depending on the complexity of each proposal, ranging from US$500 thousand to US$2 million.
