Women and Gender Constituency — Gender Just Climate Solutions Award 2023

The Women & Gender Constituency invites applications for the Gender Just Climate Solutions Awards. The awards aim to showcase real solutions for a more just, equal and healthy planet, such as non-technical climate solutions, technical climate solutions, and transformational climate initiatives with a women or gender perspective. Three winners will each receive € 5,000 and a chance to attend the COPs. All types of activist, grassroots and women-led organizations working on issues related to climate change from all over the world are encouraged to apply. The deadline for submission is 30 July 2023. Caribbean Catastrophe Risk Insurance Facility — Small Grants Program

The Caribbean Catastrophe Risk Insurance Facility (CCRIF) finances small projects managed by non-governmental organizations (NGOs), community-based organizations (CBOs), charity organizations and/or mandated by National Disaster Coordinators in local communities in the Caribbean. Projects submitted for consideration should fall within the thematic areas of disaster risk management and climate change adaptation and range between US$5 to US$25 thousand. Earth Journalism Network — Fellowships for Journalists

Earth Journalism Network (EJN) offers fellowships for journalists to cover the 7th Global Environmental Facility Assembly in Vancouver (Canada). The fellowship will strengthen journalists’ capacity to cover real-time changes to global environmental and climate financing instruments and their implications. EJN will cover economy-class airfare, accommodation, meals, travel insurance, and transportation costs to participate in the fellowship. Applicants must be professional journalists from or representing an established media house from a low- or middle-income country. Preference will be given to youth journalists (age 35 and under). Inter-American Development Bank — Climate Change and its Nexus with Gender and Diversity

The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) seeks research proposals that contribute to measuring and evaluating solutions for addressing climate change and promoting an inclusive transition to a greener economy. The initiative seeks to advance knowledge development regarding the existing inequalities between men and women, as well as inequalities faced by Indigenous Peoples, people of African descent, people with disabilities, and LGBTQ+ people. The fourth edition of this call focuses on the topic of climate change and its nexus with gender and diversity. Funding may range from US$20 thousand to US$100 thousand. International Development Research Centre — Regional Research Networks

The International Development Research Centre (IDRC) announces a call for full proposals for the selection of regional research hubs to advance skills and policies for an inclusive and sustainable future of work. This initiative supports high-quality, innovative and gender responsive research that addresses key Future of Work challenges, including climate-resilient food systems. Regional research hubs can submit budget requests of up to a maximum of CA$1.7 million. IDRC is expecting to fund 5 regional research hubs in Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa, MENA and LAC. Prince Albert II Foundation — Call for Projects 2023

The Prince Albert II Foundation is dedicated to the protection of the environment and the promotion of sustainable development on a global scale. Currently, the Foundation calls for projects in 4 thematic areas: forest conservation through local and indigenous action; strengthening arctic and antarctic marine protected areas; coastal and marine solutions; and other projects that relate to climate change, biodiversity, or water preservation. 100+ Accelerator — Climate Action Challenge

100+ Accelerator seeks companies that create products and goods that people use every day to be more proactive in reducing their greenhouse gas emissions. The Accelerator delivers 6 months of remote training to accelerate the collaboration and growth of cohort companies. European Commission — Development of Green Energies in Haiti

The European Commission (EC) seeks to reduce Haiti’s vulnerability to the impacts of climate change. The EC will fund the development and better penetration of renewable energies at the local level. Tyler Prize for Environmental Achievement — Nominations for Prize in 2024

The Tyler Prize for Environmental Achievement grants US$250 thousand to recognize exceptional accomplishments in environmental science, energy, or medicine. The Tyler Prize can be awarded to living individuals or public or private institutions anywhere in the world. Several past prize winners have been distinguished in scientific and technical areas such as the global nitrogen cycle, global biodiversity assessments, wastewater treatment in developing countries, and others relevant to the link between environment and development. Photography 4 Humanity — Climate Justice Photography

The 2023 Photography 4 Humanity Global Prize Competition is open for submissions. The competition seeks images that show people impacted by the escalating climate crisis. This includes climate refugees, images of climate champions advocating for change, and those helping to mitigate and reverse climate change. The Global Prize Recipient will receive US$5,000.
