Netherlands Organization for International Cooperation in Higher Education — Orange Tulip Scholarship 2022/2023

Nuffic, a Dutch non-profit organization for internationalization in education, offers scholarships for studies in the Netherlands. Students from China, India, Indonesia, South Africa, Korea, Russia and Vietnam are invited to apply for studies at selected universities listed in the call. Subject areas include earth sciences, ecology, and many others. The Orange Tulip Scholarship recipients will get discounts on study fees ranging from 30% to 100%, or an offer for living expenses per month (without a discount on study fees).  Potentially interested individuals should review the courses and dates offered by the participating Dutch higher education institutions, and information about how to apply. American Museum of Natural History — Research Grants 2022

The American Museum of Natural History sponsors a number of research grants and student exchange fellowships. The Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Grants support early-career researchers for research in any phase of wildlife conservation or related fields of North American fauna, defined as fauna north of the Isthmus of Panama, including the Caribbean. Grants are generally between US$1,000 and US$3,500. The application deadline for Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Grants is 21 February 2022. Details here

Latvian State Education Development Agency — Scholarships 2022/2023

The Latvian State Education Development Agency offers scholarships to foreign students, researchers and teaching staff for studies, research and participation in summer schools in Latvian higher education institutions (HEIs) for the academic year 2022/2023. Study programs include Agriculture, Environmental Science, Forestry, Energy, among others. The scholarship amount varies from €500 to €670 per month, depending on the program. Eligibility extends to countries that signed an agreement on cooperation in education and science (detailed in the announcement). The deadline for application is 01 April 2022. About the scholarship

Cranfield Water Science Institute — Full Scholarships

The Cranfield Water Science Institute offers 15 scholarships across for MSc courses in Water & Wastewater Engineering, Water & Sanitation for Development and Advanced Water Management. The scholarships cover full tuition fees for a full-time master’s course. Citizens of any country can apply for a scholarship but must have an offer of admission for an eligible full-time master’s course before applying. Applications close on 25 April 2022. Information

U.S. Embassy in South Africa — Fulbright Foreign Student Program

The South African Fulbright Foreign Student Program provides grants for university graduates to pursue postgraduate studies at a United States university. The Fulbright program covers graduate degrees up to two years. The scholarship is not restricted to programs or specific subject areas. University of Nottingham — Developing Solutions Masters Scholarship 2022

The University of Nottingham provides international scholarships for postgraduate masters courses to nationals of Africa, India, or countries of the Commonwealth. Thematic areas include engineering and sciences. Priority will be given to candidates who have not previously studied outside of their home country. Scholarships are available to cover either 50% or 100% of tuition fees. Students who want to make a difference to the development of their home country are encouraged to apply by 20 May 2022. Asian Institute of Technology and UNESCO-IHE — Joint Master’s Degree Programs

The Asian Institute of Technology in Thailand and the UNESCO-IHE Institute for Water Education in the Netherlands offer Joint Degree Master’s programs in “Environmental Technology for Sustainable Development”, “Urban Water Engineering and Management “, and “Agricultural Water Management for Enhanced Land and Water Productivity”. Applicants may seek financial support and scholarships from external sources, for example, the Joint Japan World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program (JJ/WBGSP) or the Orange Knowledge Program (OKP). Thought for Food — Ambassador Program 2022

The TFF Community seeks passionate young leaders from all over the world for the TFF Ambassador Program. TFF Ambassadors are groups of volunteers worldwide who commit to spread TFF’s mission on a local level around the world. Ambassadors will have the chance to host meetups and events focused on raising awareness about food and agriculture, play a role in building essential regional, national, and international partnerships, and gain access to resources, training, and tools for capacity building. Flemish Inter-University Council — Scholarships for Master Programs in Flanders

VLIR-UOS is the secretariat of Flemish universities for development cooperation, with funding by Belgian Development Cooperation. VLIR-UOS announces courses at Belgian Flemish universities and university colleges that are eligible for scholarships in 2022/23. They include 1-year masters’ programs, along with training courses lasting from two weeks to three months. Subject areas include aquaculture, marine science, plant breeding, nematology, water resources, rural development, and others. Eligibility for scholarships extends to applicants from developing countries in Southeast Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa, and Latin America. The scholarship amount varies with a maximum support of €58,320. Candidates apply directly to the Flemish universities that offer the programs, requesting scholarship support. The deadline for submission project proposals to Flemish universities is between February and March 2022 (depending on the program). Details here

KU Leuven — PhD Scholarships for Students from the Global South

KU Leuven is the largest university in Flanders, Belgium. As one part of its cooperation to advance international development, KU Leuven offers 10 PhD scholarships to candidates from developing countries. The university offers sandwich scholarships, which means that 50% of the research takes place at KU Leuven and 50% at the home institution of the scholar, as well as full-time research at KU Leuven (4 years). The scholarships are offered to proposals that deal with a development-relevant research topic, preferably linked to the Sustainable Development Goals. Online applications have to be completed before 10 March 2022. PhD Scholarships for Researchers
