ASEAN Foundation — Post-graduate Scholarship Program in Science and Technology

The Chulabhorn Graduate Institute (CGI) and the ASEAN Foundation (AF) accept applications for the Post-graduate Scholarship Program in Science and Technology 2020. Fields of study under this program are (1) Applied Biological Sciences: Environmental Health; (2) Environmental Toxicology; (3) and Chemical Biology. The scholarship will cover tuition, round trip airfare, a monthly stipend, book allowance, and health insurance, among other expenses. German Academic Exchange Service — Masters and Doctoral Studies in Poverty, Land & Agrarian Studies

The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) offers scholarships for Masters and Doctoral Studies in Poverty, Land & Agrarian Studies at the Institute for Poverty, Land & Agrarian Studies (PLAAS), University of the Western Cape (UWC). The scholarship covers tuition fees, travel, and a monthly living allowance. The scholarship is aimed at young candidates, mid-career professionals, researchers and university staff from Africa. Green Campus Initiative — Green Fellowships 2020

Green Campus Initiative offers a 12 month fellowship program which will serve as a platform for executing eco-conscious ideas and innovations. Successful applicants will receive stipends and funded training. Applicants must be a recent graduate or postgraduate student currently undertaking a leadership role in an organization, company or association. The fellowship opportunity is open to all countries. Applications are accepted all year-round but to be considered for the early 2020 cohort, applications have to be submitted by 05 December 2019. More about the Green Fellowships

Government of Japan — Japan Africa Scholarship Program

The Japan Africa Scholarship (JADS) Program, funded by the Government of Japan, provides a two-year scholarship to African students for post-graduate studies in Japan. JADS core areas of study focus include energy, agriculture, and environmental sustainability, among others. The scholarship program provides tuition, a monthly living stipend, round-trip airfare, health insurance, and travel allowance. The program is open to students who have gained admission to an approved Masters degree course at a Japanese partner university. Candidates should be 35 years old or younger. Delft University of Technology — Sub-Saharan Africa Excellence Scholarships

TU Delft | Global Initiative offers four (4) Sub-Saharan Africa Excellence Scholarships to to study at the Delft University of Technology. The scholarship offers €25 thousand per year to applicants admitted to one of the 2-year regular MSc programs. Indo-US Science and Technology Forum — Biotechnology Fellowships in USA

The IUSSTF announces the 2020 Khorana Program for Scholars. The program will provide a stipend, airfare, and health insurance to enable Indian students to undertake 10-12 weeks of research at U.S. universities in areas of biotechnology, including agricultural biotechnology. Breakthrough Institute — Research Fellowships

The Breakthrough Institute makes research fellowships to non-resident research collaborators with the Breakthrough Institute’s research program. The Institute supports research in energy, conservation, agriculture, with new approaches to major environmental and development challenges. The Research Fellowship runs for 8 weeks, totaling US$5 thousand. Applicants should possess a Master’s degree at minimum. Fellowships are open to applicants from any country. International RiverFoundation — Fellowship for Women in Water Management

The International RiverFoundation invites applications for the Vera Thiess Fellowship for Women. Women from developing countries get the opportunity to gain valuable work experience through the IRF and its partners, with the goal of advancing women’s participation in water and river management. The Foundation offers a 3 to 6 months fellowship consisting of project work, funding for travel, and participation in the 2020 International Riversymposium (China). British Council — Newton PhD Scholarships Philippines

The aim of the Newton PhD Program offers full-time PhD scholarships for Filipino researchers at a UK higher education institution. The project must fall within the following priority areas (relevant to the Terra Viva Grants Directory): Improving environmental resilience; Improving energy security; Agritech; among other thematic areas. For an applicant to be considered for the DOST-Newton PhD Scholarship, the applicant must be a Filipino Citizen and have already been accepted to a PhD program in the UK. The scholarship will cover travel costs, monthly accommodation and living allowance, tuition fees, and a grant for consumables (up to a maximum of £3 thousand per year). Wilson Center — Addressing Environmental Challenges in the Americas

The Wilson Center Latin America Fellowship Program 2019/2020 seeks applications to conduct research about and propose concrete solutions to the range of environmental threats faced by countries in Latin America and the Caribbean. The residential fellowship will take place at the Wilson Center in Washington, D.C. (USA). Fellows are provided with a monthly stipend for a stay of 4-6 months. Applicants must be citizens of a Latin American or Caribbean country and have an undergraduate or graduate degree and a minimum of five years of relevant work experience.
