DSM — Brighter Living Scholarship

DMS offers 4 scholarships to young leaders from Zambia and Ethiopia, who are working in the field of nutrition to deliver nutritional solutions for their communities. The scholarship seeks candidates who develop/implement programs to eliminate post-harvest losses for small holder farmers, among others. Pulitzer Center & Thomson Reuters — Reporting Land Rights Training for Southern Africa

The Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting and the Thomson Reuters Foundation seek participants for a four-day workshop on reporting land rights in Johannesburg, South Africa (30 July – 2 August 2018). Journalists with outstanding story ideas on property rights will receive training, editorial support and limited funding to help them realize their stories. The program will cover airfare, lodging, and subsistence for journalists from Southern African countries. World Bank — Masters Fellowship for African Female Scientists

Applications are open for the World Bank/ACE II Masters Fellowships for African female scientists. Priority areas include agriculture, among others. Selected fellows will receive financial support that covers tuition fees, living expenses, research, and travel. Eastern Africa Farmers Federation — Support for Young Farmers in Africa

The Eastern Africa Farmers Federation in partnership with IFAD calls for innovative ideas from rural youth groups in agriculture and agribusiness related enterprises. Young farmers will receive technical support, mentorship, access to potential funders/investors and other partnership opportunities. Center for Science and Technology of the Non-Aligned and Other Developing Countries — Fellowship in Tropical Coastal Marine Research

The NAM S&T Centre invites applications from scientists from the developing countries for the Joint NAM S&T Centre – ZMT Bremen (Germany) Fellowship in Tropical Coastal Marine Research. Under this scheme, five selected scientists will work with senior researchers and faculty members in fields related to Ecology, Biogeochemistry, Geology, and Tropical Coastal Marine Systems; and undertaking short-term joint research projects for a period of up to 3 months. Swiss State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation — Swiss-African Research Cooperation

The LH Basel calls for applications for visiting fellowships from advanced PHD students and early postdoctoral researchers from sub-Saharan Africa or Switzerland. Proposals from priority countries Cameroon, Ghana, Kenya and Uganda are particularly encouraged. Proposals addressing any of the SDGs in the context of Swiss–sub-Saharan African cooperation, especially in the field of climate change, are welcome. Government of China — Masters Scholarships for Africans

The Government of China offers scholarship to enable African students to study in China in the 2018/2019 Academic Year. The scholarships are intended for Master and Doctoral Programmes including one at the China Agricultural University, and many others. Woodard & Curran Foundation — Water and Climate Change

The Woodard & Curran Foundation funds innovative projects that apply or advances technology by addressing water issues relating to climate change. One total grant of US$100 thousand will be awarded over three consecutive years. Eligibility extends to US-based non-profit organizations.
