The Government of India and the European Union seek applications for collaborative research & innovation projects carried out by consortia of organizations working together on research & innovation in areas of AI, electric energy storage solutions; zero emission vehicles; and biofuels. Any legal entity/organization (public or private research institute/university) established in India or the European Union with expertise in relevant and distinct disciplines is eligible to apply. GSMA Innovation Fund for Anticipatory Humanitarian Action seeks to help accelerate the testing, adoption and scalability of digital innovations that leverage mobile digital technology to help anticipate potential humanitarian impacts and enable effective early response. Successful projects will receive an equity-free grant of between £100 thousand and £250 thousand to scale their innovation over a 15 to 18 month period. CRDF Global — Disrupting the Rise of Disinformation in Biosecurity
CRDF Global announces a grant opportunity to support counter-disinformation initiatives that respond to active influence campaigns that undermine established norms in biosecurity. Grants are up to US$10 thousand to conduct research and develop solutions to discredit efforts by state actors to subvert international biological science. Grants should empower recipients to recognize and immediately and scientifically counter any claim of misinformation. The Nordic Environment Finance Corporation (NEFCO) announces the applications for Baltic Sea Action Plan (BSAP) Fund. The Baltic Sea Action Plan Fund supports projects that will benefit the ecological well being of the Baltic Sea. The fund finances new initiatives and support activities across the Baltic Sea region including Estonia, Finland, Russia, Sweden, and Belarus. ‘Changemakers for the Planet’ supports the work of young changemakers, activists and innovators from all regions of the world who address the planetary crisis, such as climate change, biodiversity loss, and pollution. The program provides young leaders with in-person summits, capacity building and funding for collaborative efforts. EIT Food Call — Technology Solutions in the Agri-Food Sector
EIT Food invests in projects, organizations and individuals with innovative solutions for a healthy and more sustainable food system. EIT Food co-funds the development of commercial projects in the agrifood sector. The selected organization will receive funding of up to €600 thousand per activity for 12 months or up to €1,2 million per activity over a maximum of 24 months. Endangered Landscapes Programme — Restoring Endangered Landscapes
The Endangered Landscapes Programme (ELP) invites expressions of interest from organizations and partnerships for the Landscape Restoration Grant. The program supports landscapes and seascapes restoration in areas that are ecologically degraded, fragmented, disconnected, missing key species and vulnerable to climate change. The maximum grant amount projects can apply for is €100 thousand. The program welcomes applications for smaller amounts. Each team must identify a Lead Partner who will take responsibility for the project. Lead partners must be not-for-profit organizations. The deadline for expressions of interest is 03 February 2023. Global Agriculture and Food Security Program — Recovery of Agriculture and Food Systems
The Global Agriculture and Food Security Program (GAFSP) announces a call for proposals for programs and projects that strengthen agriculture and lessen food insecurity in low-income countries. The program will support medium- to long-term COVID-19 response efforts for a more sustainable, inclusive, and resilient recovery of agriculture and food systems in a changing climate. GAFSP intends to fund 5-8 proposals for a total of at least US$175 million. Applications (English and French) are invited from governments in the 56 member countries of the International Development Association in East Asia and the Pacific; South Asia; Eastern and Central Europe; the Middle East; Africa; and Latin America. EuroMarine — Research Grants for Early-Career Researchers
OYSTER is an independent working group dedicated to promoting and supporting opportunities for young researchers in marine science. EuroMarine offers a grant of €7,500 to early-career researchers from EuroMarine full member organizations to undertake an original and collaborative research project.
