The East Asian Seas Congress Youth Forum (April 2024) aims to bring together young leaders across the East Asian Seas region to have a deeper understanding of the marine environment, and impacts of climate change. Citizens of the following countries are eligible to apply: Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Japan, Lao PDR, Philippines, Republic of Korea, Singapore, Timor-Leste, Vietnam. Applicants must be 21 to 35 years old and have, at least, one year exposure or experience in marine science, marine conservation, or any related fields. European Union — European Exchange Program for Entrepreneurs
Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs is a cross-border exchange program for aspiring entrepreneurs. New entrepreneurs will benefit from on-the-job training in a small or medium-sized enterprise in another participating country. The program provides practical and financial assistance, and matches entrepreneurs with experienced hosts. Applications are accepted from both, host entrepreneurs (HEs) – ideally owners of a micro or small enterprise – and new entrepreneurs (NEs) in their early stages. Participating NEs will receive financial support for travel, living and subsistence costs during the visit. Applications are accepted from permanent residents in one of 28 EU Member States, Albania, Armenia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Macedonia, Iceland, Montenegro, Moldova, Serbia, Turkey, Ukraine and Kosovo. Research Institute for Humanity and Nature — Visiting Research Fellow Program
The Research Institute for Humanity and Nature (RIHN) Visiting Research Fellow Program brings overseas researchers to the Institute for periods of two to six months to engage in research collaboration. Each visiting fellow must work with a RIHN host researcher who acts as the main point of contact with the Institute. Applicants must have a PhD and be employed in an overseas research institute. The Marie Sklowdowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) support research training and career development. The MSCA COFUND scheme aims at stimulating regional, national or international programs to foster excellence in researchers’ training, mobility, and career development. Each proposal under the COFUND scheme shall have a sole participant that will be responsible for matching funds to execute the proposal. Participants submit multi-annual proposals for new or existing doctoral programs or fellowship programs that may be run at regional, national, or international level. American Society of Mammalogists — Research in Latin America
The American Society of Mammalogists (ASM) offers the Latin American Student Field Research award for field projects by Latin American graduate students. Each of five grant recipients receives US$1,500. The ASM also offers the Oliver P. Pearson Award to young professional mammalogists of any nationality who hold academic or curatorial positions in Latin America. The Pearson research grant is US$5,000 plus a travel grant of US$2,000 to attend the ASM annual meeting following the award. The application deadline for both types of awards is 01 March 2024. The African Network for Economics of Learning, Innovation and Competence Building Systems (AfricaLics) seeks PhD students from universities in Africa to participate in the AfricaLics PhD Visiting Fellowship Program focused on Innovation and Development. The visiting fellowship program intends to increase international mobility and provide PhD students with international knowledge in the field of innovation and development (which includes a four month study stay in South Africa). The Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen (ifa) seeks professionals and volunteers from South and Southeast Asia, Eurasia and Central Asia, Eastern Europe and Russia, and MENA countries to participate in a 2-3 months training program at host organizations in Germany or in CCP partner countries. Professional fellowships are being offered in Sustainable Development, and five other fields. The Fellowship covers travel expenses, accommodation, insurance, and a monthly allowance of €650. The applicant must be between the ages of 23 and 45 and have at least two years of proven professional experience or volunteer work in a civil society organization in the country of origin.
