The International Trade Centre (ITC) invites applications from women entrepreneurs and women-owned businesses for the SheTrades Invest program. Selected companies will gain access to learning opportunities, technical assistance, and a network of investors. International Food Policy Research Institute — Short Video Contest

The International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) seeks short videos (1-2 minutes) for the “My Food our Future” video contest. The video should offer ideas and solutions to access healthy and affordable diets. Young filmmakers from all around the world have the chance to win a US$500 prepaid gift card. Government of Japan — Japan Africa Scholarship Program

The Japan Africa Scholarship (JADS) Program, funded by the Government of Japan, provides a two-year scholarship to African students for post-graduate studies in Japan. JADS core areas of study focus include energy, agriculture, and environmental sustainability, among others. The scholarship program provides tuition, a monthly living stipend, round-trip airfare, health insurance, and travel allowance. The program is open to students who have gained admission to an approved Masters degree course at a Japanese partner university. Candidates should be 35 years old or younger. Malmar Knowles Family Foundation — Youth Leadership Program

The Knowles Educational and Charitable Trust for International Leadership (Kectil) Program is a one year web-based mentoring program in youth leadership. This year, the program also hosts Leadership and Innovation Conferences in different regions in Southeast Asia, East Asia, and the Caribbean. Chivas Venture — Funding for Social Entrepreneurs

Chivas Venture provides start-ups and social entrepreneurs with project funding. Past projects include projects in the thematic areas of plastic waste, agriculture, and other environmental or humanitarian themes. 20 Finalists will participate in a 3-day Accelerator Program in London and the winners share a total of US$1 million in funding. European Commission — Funding for Agricultural Development in Madagascar

The European Commission seeks to contribute to the sustainable improvement of rural households and their food security in Madagascar. The objective of this call for proposals is to intensify and diversify sustainable agriculture, strengthen agro-ecological products, and invest in the agriculture and wood energy sectors. Grants under this call range from €800 thousand to €3.5 million. Eligibility extends to non-profit organizations established in the EU or Sub-Saharan Africa. ASEAN Foundation — Leadership Training for Social Entrepreneurs

The eMpowering Youths Across ASEAN is a partnership program between Maybank Foundation and ASEAN Foundation that consists of mentoring, regional leadership training, and overseas local community projects. The program aims to improve social and economic well-being of ASEAN communities through social enterprises and will distribute US$20 thousand to 10 selected projects. American Society for Microbiology — Visiting Research Professorships in Microbiology

American Society for Microbiology (ASM), in partnership with the Indo-US Science & Technology Forum (IUSSTF), announces the ASM-IUSSTF Indo-US Professorship in Microbiology. This program seeks to broaden scientific collaboration between India and the United States though travel grants that support research and teaching partnerships.
