World Meteorological Organization — World Meteorological Day Photo Competition

The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) invites photographers to submit high-quality and artistic photographs which illustrate the theme of World Meteorological Day “The Ocean, our Climate and Weather.” Winning entries will feature in the WMO 2021 online calendar. YouthLead — YouthLead Ambassadors

The YouthLead Ambassador program is a six-month development and leadership program for young changemakers between the ages of 18 and 35 years. The Ambassadors receive a stipend of US$300 at the conclusion of their successful ambassadorship. Eligibility is limited to young changemakers from low-and middle-income countries in the youth-development sector with a proven track record in supporting and mobilizing other young people in their communities. Global University Climate Forum — Student Action to Address Climate Change

The Global University Climate Forum brings student activists together to share ideas and act on the global imperative of addressing climate change. The Forum is a one-year program offering a series of workshops that will cover a range of topics pertaining to climate action. Selected teams will be invited to participate in a series of workshops. After the workshops, students will execute their ideas. College and University students from around the world are invited to apply with action-oriented projects. ISEKI-Food Association — Food Biodiversity Student Competition

The 2020 Food Factory-4-Us Sustainable Supply Chain International Student Competition seeks great ideas for valorizing food biodiversity. The competition is open to Master’s students enrolled in a food study program in any country. Participants have to form teams of 3-5 students, get a faculty mentor and present a project proposal. Each team will have access to online trainings. The winning team will receive an award of €300 and be invited to the NextFOOD Project Meeting in 2021. The deadline for submissions is 07 October 2020. UK Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council — Follow-on Funding

BBSRC’s Follow-on Funding (FoF) supports the translation of research into practical application. The aim of the program is to help researchers maximize the societal and economic benefits of their research. The applicant must currently or previously have held BBSRC funding with demonstrable relevance to the application. Funding ranges between £25 thousand and £800 thousand. United States Agency for International Development — Sustainable Coastal Fisheries Management in the Pacific Region

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) seeks applications for a Cooperative Agreement to address the drivers of illegal fishing that are degrading coastal fisheries and biodiversity in the Pacific Islands. The overall goal is to co-develop an activity to support sustainable coastal fisheries and protection of associated coastal and marine ecosystems in the Pacific Islands region and increasing the self-reliance of Pacific Island partners. USAID intends to provide US$15 million in total funding over a five year period. USAID encourages applications from potential new partners such as U.S. and non-US non-profit organizations, for-profit organizations, universities, and international organizations. Enterprise Singapore — Energy Innovation Challenge

Enterprise Singapore (ESG) seeks applications for the Energy Open Innovation Challenge. Startups and small-and medium-sized enterprises are invited to submit innovative projects to improve the energy sector and provide solutions to the global energy industry. ESG will support selected companies with up to S$1 million of funding through grants for product development. Four startups will win a S$25 thousand startup grant. Erbacher Foundation — Support for Rural Development 2021

The Erbacher Foundation supports rural development in subject areas that include livestock husbandry, crop production, drinking water, and environmental protection. The priority countries are India, Tanzania, and Uganda. Applications are invited from Germany charitable organizations involved in development cooperation. Applying organizations need to have partnerships with local NGOs. The German institution is responsible for project administration and coordination.
