University of Montpellier — Circular Economy Challenge
The Circular Economy Challenge seeks innovations and ideas for producing goods and services in a sustainable way by limiting the consumption and waste of resources and the production of waste. Innovations must respond to the three challenges of sustainability: respectful of the environment, economically profitable and socially acceptable. Research staff at Muse, Agropolis Fondation, the Center INRAE Occitanie – Montpellier, and SATT AxLR are invited to apply. Projects may involve a non-academic partner (companies, associations, communities, etc.). Some proposals will be selected to benefit from funding between €20 thousand and €300 thousand. EIT Climate-KIC — Climate Action Citizen Engagement
The European Commission launches the design phase of the New European Bauhaus (NEB) initiative. EIT Climate-KIC calls for climate innovation in public space through citizen engagement. Projects should mobilize citizen-driven initiatives and ideas all across-Europe and bring together cities, regions and social engagement innovators to empower civil society and drive climate action. EIT Climate-KIC will select three proposals and will grant a maximum of €30 thousand per proposal to develop a public space co-design activity in a city or region with civil society leadership. ERC Advanced Grants support ambitious research projects with up to €2,5 million for the duration of 5 years. Up to an additional €1 million can be requested in exceptional cases to cover (a) eligible “start-up” costs, (b) the purchase of major equipment, (c) access to large facilities, and/or (d) other major experimental and field work costs. The call is open to researchers of any nationality who intend to conduct their research activity in any EU member state. European Commission seeks to improve the governance of water for agricultural, drinking and pastoral use in Madagascar. The priorities of this call for proposals are drinking water supply, pastoral hydraulic works, as well as water, hygiene and sanitation. The overall indicative amount made available is €1,3 million. EcoPix — Grants for Conservation Photography
EcoPix makes grants to support the non-equipment costs of small photography projects by emerging conservation photographers in Australia and neighboring Asia-Pacific countries. There is no nationality requirement or age requirement, although EcoPix gives preference to grant requests from young and emerging photographers. Outside of Australia, projects normally need sponsorship by an Australian organization, a branch of a well-established international organization, or a major national conservation organization in the country concerned.
