International Association of Horticultural Producers — World Green City Awards

The AIPH World Green City Awards competition recognizes the role of city authorities in promoting and supporting greater inclusion of nature and plants in urban environments. The award is open to city governments and local authorities around the world. The submission must be made by the local authority governing the city – such as the Mayor’s or executive officer’s office. Cities receive an award certificate and a trophy, as well as global recognition and profiling opportunities. All entries will need to be submitted online before 14 March 2022. Green City Awards

Schneider Electric — Go Green Student Competition: Pacific

Schneider Electric seeks applications for the Go Green global student competition in Asia-Pacific. Students are invited to submit solutions to real-life case challenges within energy management or ideas for sustainable energy access. Top teams will be invited to attend the Virtual Global Finals to pitch their ideas. In addition, one all-female team from the semi-finals will win the Women in Business Award. Global winners will be awarded a €10 thousand prize. The deadline to submit energy ideas is 31 March 2022. Go Green Pacific

French Development Agency — Biodiversity and Climate Change Adaptation in the Pacific

The Kiwa Initiative supports nature-based solutions for biodiversity and climate change adaptation in the Pacific. The Initiative serves communities in Pacific island countries and territories. It supports projects focusing on nature-based solutions via grants and technical assistance. The Initiative supports local projects with very small grants (€25 thousand to €50 thousand), small grants (€50 thousand to €100 thousand) and medium-sized grants (€100 thousand to €400 thousand). Regional projects will be supported with €1.5 million to €5 million but must involve at least two proponents of the 19 eligible countries and territories. Eligibility extends to national authorities, local authorities, regional organizations, and local or international non-governmental organizations. Applications are submitted online and analyzed every six months. Concept notes can be submitted until 04 April 2022. Find out more
