Entrepreneurship Campus — Youth Citizen Entrepreneurship Competition

The Entrepreneurship Campus invites innovative ideas for the Youth Citizen Entrepreneurship Competition to create a culture for entrepreneurship and implement one or more of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Participants are invited to submit their innovative ideas and projects with a societal impact. Entries will be posted on the competition website and are subject to online commenting and public voting. Winners receive a virtual badge and a certificate. Participants from 13 to 29 years who are operating a business, a non-profit organization or an informal program are eligible to apply. Applications can be submitted until 15 September 2022. Government of Canada — Banting Postdoctoral Fellowships

The Banting Postdoctoral Fellowships program provides funding to postdoctoral applicants, both nationally and internationally, who will positively contribute to Canada’s economic, social and research-based growth. A total of 70 fellowships are awarded annually. Foreign citizens who are not permanent residents of Canada may only apply if they hold their fellowship at a Canadian institution. Applicants seek endorsement from a host institution to apply, prepare and submit an application (Note: institutions may have internal deadlines). United States Agency for International Development — Environmental and Economic Reactivation Partnerships

The Ecuador New Environmental and Economic Reactivation Partnerships Initiative is designed to increase seascape conservation, combat illegal fishing, reduce ocean plastic pollution, achieve sustainable forests management, and support forest carbon sequestration and economic reactivation. USAID/Ecuador seeks implementing partners from the private sector and civil society. This includes private businesses, foundations, non-profit NGOs, and private educational institutions. Alexander von Humboldt Foundation — Georg Forster Research Fellowship

The Georg Forster Research Fellowship supports postdoctoral and experienced researchers from developing and transition countries with their research in collaboration with a host at a German research institution. Nominees must be nationals of a developing or transition country, excluding the People’s Republic of China and India. The monthly fellowship amount is €2,670. Fellowships may last from 6 to 24 months. Applications are reviewed on a regular basis in February, June and October. More here

Charles Stewart Mott Foundation — Environmental Grant Making

The Mott Foundation funds grants in the United States and, on a limited geographic basis, internationally. The theme “Environment” supports projects around the world that protect communities and the ecosystems upon which they depend. The program “Transforming Development Finance” aims to guard against unwise capital investments in large-scale dams, extractive industries, and other major projects which threaten environmental sustainability and local economic opportunity in China, Latin America, and other regions of the developing world. The program “Advancing Climate Change Solutions” makes grants to reduce policy and financial barriers to investments in clean energy, and to provide technical assistance and networking opportunities to communities in the Amazon and Sub-Saharan Africa. Royal Caribbean Cruises, Ltd. — In-Kind Donations to Non-Profit Organizations

Royal Caribbean Cruises supports local communities invested in marine conservation and education. For that purpose, the company awards cash and cruise donations to be used for fundraising purposes to non-profit organizations with like-minded goals. Paul K. Feyerabend Foundation — Community and Solidarity

The PKF Foundation makes grants in support of grassroots conservation, land and resource rights of indigenous and local communities, and traditional knowledge in managing natural resources. PKF’s projects focus heavily on communities in developing countries. PKF works through a network of nominators. Grant seekers approach the Foundation through these nominators. For applicants who do not know any nominators, PKF provides an email contact address. The maximum grant is €10 thousand for one or two years. Nominations can be submitted at any time. Find out more
