Swedish Institute — Management Program Africa

The Swedish Institute Management Program (SIMP) seeks responsible leadership and sustainable business practices. Applicants should be interested in topics such as business impact on the environment, diversity and inclusion in the workplace as well as financial strategies for sustainable development. Entrepreneurs between 25-45 years old from Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda or Zambia are invited to apply. Swedish Institute — Management Program Asia

The Swedish Institute Management Program (SIMP) Asia seeks ambitious and innovative leaders who want to learn more about sustainable business practices. The international leadership program offers proven tools and knowledge from experts with the goal to help participants to develop and implement an action-oriented sustainability strategy. The Swedish Institute covers the cost of training and content for all participants. Participants of the SIMP program will be selected from both businesses and organizations. Earth Journalism Network — Story Grants India

The Earth Journalism Network (EJN) offers support for the production of in-depth reports on India’s progress towards a Net Zero economy through a Just Energy Transition. The Earth Journalism Network aims to support the production of reports that raise awareness and drive conversations among communities and policymakers at local, national and regional levels. Earth Journalism Network — Story Grants South Africa

The Earth Journalism Network (EJN) offers reporting grants to journalists in South Africa to support the production of in-depth stories on South Africa’s Road to Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions. The Earth Journalism Network aims to support the production of stories that raise awareness about South Africa’s net zero target and drive conversation among communities and policy makers at the local, national, and regional level. EJN expects to award five story grants with an average budget of €1,000. Journalists interested in covering the transition to Net Zero are invited to apply. U.S. Embassy in Georgia — Small Grants Program

The Small Grants Program awards grants for specific projects that support democracy, enhance the development of democratic institutions and foster education of civil society in Georgia. The maximum amount of a grant is US$50 thousand per project. Projects must address sustainable rural development, preservation of cultural heritage, sustainable tourism, or education. Grants will be awarded to non-governmental, non-profit organizations, educational institutions, and media organizations. The deadline for submission of applications is 20 February 2023. Horticulture Innovation Lab — Horticulture Research Projects Central America

The Horticulture Innovation Lab seeks technical applications from local organizations to research appropriate technologies for climate smart agriculture for small-sized farms in Honduras and Guatemala. The selected research projects will be funded at US$250 thousand up to US$750 thousand. The Horticulture Innovation Lab seeks research applications led by local organizations that are relevant to smallholder farmers and disadvantaged populations. Applicants can be from academic institutions, government sectors, private entities, or other community based organizations. The closing date for applications is 20 February 2023. European Investment Bank Institute — Social Innovation Tournament

The Social Innovation Tournament recognizes and supports the best European social entrepreneurs with projects focusing on the environment (with a special emphasis on biodiversity and ecosystem conservation). Prizes range from €10 thousand to €75 thousand. In 2023, the Special Category prizes will go to projects focusing on sustainable cities and communities. Finalists participate in a training program and benefit from grants programs, participation in conferences around Europe and access to a network of investors. Feed the Future Market Systems and Partnerships — Food Loss and Waste Partnerships Facility

The Feed the Future Market Systems and Partnerships Activity (MSP) invites for-profit businesses in Bangladesh, Kenya, Nepal, Niger, Nigeria, and Tanzania to submit an application for co-investment through its Food Loss and Waste (FLW) Partnerships Facility. Investment partnerships will increase the uptake and scaling of technologies and management practices that reduce Food Loss and Waste. The closing date for applications is 24 February 2023. Solution Search — Changing Unsustainable Trade

Rare’s Center for Behavior & the Environment and partners seek existing solutions that are changing behaviors to help solve the world’s most challenging environmental problems. For this year’s contest, Solutions Search seeks proven behavior-change initiatives in Latin America and the Caribbean that reduce the unsustainable/illegal wildlife trade. Contest entrants get access to capacity building, workshops, and networking opportunities to further refine and scale their solution. Two winners will win US$20 thousand. Any organization or institution worldwide is eligible (e.g. city government, business, non-profit, university, etc.). Individuals are not eligible to enter.
