The AGNES-BAYER Science Foundation Research Grant enables doctoral students from sub-Saharan African countries to undertake research in biodiversity conservation and sustainable agriculture. The Grant aims to support African PhD students to carry out activities that are part of the doctoral research, including but not limited to field experiments and data collection or laboratory studies. Amphibian Survival Alliance — Partnerships for Amphibian Conservation
The Amphibian Survival Alliance (ASA) makes grants to evidence-based conservation projects that address key threats to amphibians and raise awareness. Start-up grants of up to US$5 thousand are available to establish new in situ amphibian conservation projects. Emergency grants can be requested in emergencies, for example, in cases where in situ action is required, such as the emergency rescue of wild populations facing imminent threat of extinction. Stiftung Entrepreneurship — Citizen Entrepreneurship Competition 2024
The Citizen Entrepreneurship Competition (CEC) invites entrepreneurs from all around the world to submit innovative answers and ideas to solve the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Young entrepreneurs (age 15-35) submit their ideas and projects in the Youth Citizen Entrepreneurship category. Entrepreneurs over 30 years apply to the Adult Citizen Entrepreneurship category. Faith For Our Planet — Youth Climate Fellowship
Faith For Our Planet, in collaboration with Duke University, launches a program for climate-conscious youth leaders from around the world. The program targets religious leaders, climate activists, and early-career professionals in faith-based organizations who wish to mobilize faith communities to combat climate change. Participants will have the opportunity to expand their networks and develop their skills to deliver an impactful faith-based climate action project. Future Blue Youth Council — True Blue Fellowship
The True Blue Fellowship connects and empowers youth around the world to leverage the creative arts to enact change in local communities to safeguard the ocean, waterways, and the climate. The Fellowship provides mentorship, capacity building, and funding of up to $2,500 for 10 youth-led projects that address ocean, waterways, or climate change issues in their local communities. Swedish International Development Agency — Training Program: Locally Controlled Forest Restoration
The LoCoFoRest (Locally Controlled Forest Restoration) training program aims to build capacity in national, regional, and local institutions and organizations in Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Lao PDR, Nepal, Thailand, and Vietnam. The program will give participants the skills and knowledge to support local communities and entrepreneurs to make forest and landscape restoration scalable. The training consists of a web-based preparatory course, three weeks of training in Sweden, and a project in the participants’ home countries. The application should be made by the individual applicant but needs to be endorsed by an employer. The Chicago Zoological Society administers conservation grants funded by the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT).
