TU Delft offers the Justus & Louise Van Effen Excellence Scholarships to study at the Delft University of Technology. The scholarship offers €30 thousand per year to international applicants admitted to one of the 2-year regular MSc programs. Climate Intervention Environmental Impact Fund — Climate Intervention

The Climate Intervention Environmental Impact Fund (CIEIF) supports innovative projects worldwide working to reverse climate change. The fund supports EIA, predictive impact modeling, and engagement efforts with potentially impacted stakeholders for innovative climate intervention technologies that are on the verge of field testing. Applicants should write a grant request that demonstrates how they would spend US$75 thousand. Applications are due by 01 December 2024. Details here

F. M. Kirby Foundation — Social Impact Prize

F. M. Kirby Impact Prize is an annual global prize of US$150 thousand that amplifies and accelerates the work of enterprises working to scale their impact on social or environmental problems around the world. Applicants must have strong evidence of impact over at least 3 years and a plan for how to use the prize to scale that impact in the next 3-5 years. The prize is open to nonprofit, for-profit, or hybrid organizations working anywhere in the world. The deadline for applications is 04 December 2024. Know more

Asia-Pacific Network for Global Change Research — Call for Proposals 2024

The Asia-Pacific Network for Global Change Research (APN) launches its 2024 call for proposals. The Collaborative Regional Research Programme (CRRP) supports research on physical, biological, and human dimensions of change in the Earth’s systems. The Capacity Development Programme (CAPaBLE) focuses on training, awareness raising, and partnerships. APN lists priority research topics (climate change, disaster risk reduction, smart agriculture, water quality, and invasive species, among others) for each of South Asia, Southeast Asia, East Asia, and Oceania. Applications can be submitted by researchers, academics, and practitioners working at institutions based in APN member countries and approved countries. CatchLight — Global Fellowship

The CatchLight Global Fellowship awards visual storytellers who ignite social change through their photography, videography or leadership by leveraging the power of visuals. Proposals should employ and strengthen new methods and potential solutions with an eye towards community activations and sustainability. Benefits of the fellowship include a financial award of US$30 thousand, access to additional future funding through the CatchLight Impact Fund, and paid travel and accommodations for the 2025 CatchLight Visual Storytelling Summit in San Francisco. Commonwealth Scholarship Commission — Commonwealth Split-site Scholarships

The Commonwealth Split-site Scholarships enable talented and motivated individuals to gain the knowledge and skills required for sustainable development, and are aimed at students from low- and middle-income countries who could not otherwise afford to study in the UK. Awards are tenable for 12 months of study at any approved UK university or higher education institution for a specific program of research. All applications must be submitted by 16 December 2024. Climate Investment Funds — Youth Fellowship

The Climate Investment Funds (CIF) supports young climate professionals with a career-focused fellowship program. The CIF Youth Fellowship is a professional capacity-building program focused on providing hands-on experience to young leaders in global climate action. CIF Youth Fellows will work with Multilateral Development Banks on real-world projects in areas related to nature-based solutions, clean energy, adaptation and climate resilience, energy access, and gender and social inclusion. Candidates must be between 18 and 28 years old and reside in Brazil, Ghana, India, Papua New Guinea, or Turkey. The application deadline is 18 December 2024. CIF Youth Fellowship

South Asian Network for Development and Environmental Economics — Environmental and Resource Economics in South Asia

SANDEE invites research concept notes in any area of environmental and resource economics relating to the development of South Asia and the Hindu Kush Himalaya, including environmental issues faced by people living in the plains, hills, and mountains. Examples of research previously supported by SANDEE include renewable energy subsidies that target the poor; analysis of possible payments to farmers for ecosystem services; and research on the economics of climate change. Ashinaga Africa Initiative — University Scholarship for Orphans

The Ashinaga Africa Initiative provides full scholarships to orphaned students from Sub-Saharan Africa to study at a university abroad. Ashinaga will cover tuition, accommodation, travel costs, and other necessary fees. The age limit to apply for this scholarship is 23 years. Students must be committed to returning home and contributing to society in Sub-Saharan Africa after graduating from university. European Commission Erasmus Mundus — Joint Masters

The Erasmus Mundus Master’s programs International Master of Science in Environmental Technology and Engineering (IMETE) and Coastal Hazards, Risks, Climate Change Impacts and Adaptation (COASTHazar), Flood Risk Management, and Groundwater and Global Change – Impact and Adaptation (GroundWatCh) are open for application. All four programs include studies at three institutions in three different countries. Scholarships are available on a competitive basis. Applications have to be submitted by 06 January 2025.
