Entrepreneurs for Resilience Award. The Resilience Award provides recognition and funding to projects developing innovative solutions for climate-smart agriculture, including crop production, livestock production, and aquaculture in developing and emerging countries.
The Resilience Award is open to NGOs, private, scientific, and public institutions. Projects comprising more than one type of institution (e.g., public-private partnerships) are eligible.
Projects that win the Resilience Award generally involve community or regional institutions.
Each year, Swiss Re awards US$700 thousand, divided among the winner and the two runners-up.
APPLICATION: Applications for the Resilience Award are scheduled on an annual cycle.
Applicants submit an initial application before a calendar deadline. The submission is made online and in English.
In a second phase, Swiss Re requests full proposals from a selected sub-group of the initial applicants. An international panel evaluates the finalist projects, and selects the winners.
