The Ashden Trust is a grant-making charity focusing on climate change, sustainable development, and improving the quality of life in poorer communities. The Trust makes grants to organizations in the UK and in the developing world.

Grant Programs for Agriculture, Energy, Environment, Natural Resources
1 — Sustainable Farming. Grants to farmer-led organizations that lead the development of more sustainable farming and land-management practices with farmers.
2 — Connecting People and Nature. Supports activities to help people to connect with nature and projects that improve children’s understanding of humanities’ relationship with the natural world.
3 — Avoided Deforestation. Supports initiatives that enable people living in forests to act as forest guardians as well as initiatives that support the development of policy and regulation for forest regulation.
4 — Climate Change Collaboration. The Collaboration supports activities that increase the odds of achieving the Paris Agreement, such as divestment from fossil fuels and investment in ‘climate solutions’ like renewable energy and clean tech.

The Trust makes grants to registered charities and nonprofit organizations in the UK and in the developing countries in which it engages. Most grants are between £2 thousand and £30 thousand, with a few multi-year grants of larger size.
APPLICATION (for 1-2-3-4 preceding): The Trust clarifies that it has its own advisors to identify projects, and that it funds only a small number of unsolicited applications.
