William A. Cadbury and a brother started the manufacture of chocolate under the Cadbury name in the early part of the 20th Century.
The William A. Cadbury Charitable Trust was founded in 1923. The Trust’s program areas are set up geographically: Birmingham and West Midlands; Ireland; UK; and International.

International Development. Cadbury’s international focus is sustainable development in Asia, Eastern Europe, South America, and Africa. The emphasis is West Africa.
Interests include grassroots projects in agriculture, bee keeping, potable water, household energy, prevention of natural disasters, and sustainable livelihoods. They also include children’s education.
Cadbury makes grants to organizations registered as charities in the UK.

APPLICATION: Cadbury provides an online application form, and alternatively accepts applications sent to its postal mailing address. Applications require a summary of the organization and the project for which funding is requested, including its budget.
