The European Commission aims to minimise the environmental impact of livestock and prioritise animal welfare in Uganda. The priority under this call are smallholders and small beef-related agribusiness to ensure an environmentally sustainable, climate-resilient, low-emission, local and regional meat industry. Grants requested under this call for proposals may fall between €300 thousand and €1.3 million. The lead applicant must have an operational presence in Uganda, but applications from least developed countries and international organizations are welcome.
