The International Institute for Tropical Agriculture (IITA) will support 30 young academics and professionals for research on youth engagement in agribusiness and rural economic activities in Africa. The research has to be carried out in the following countries: Benin, Cameroon, Democratic Republic of Congo, Malawi, Morocco, Nigeria, Rwanda, Tanzania, Senegal, and Zambia. Applicants must currently be registered in PhD or masters programs in recognized universities, and may not be more than 40 years old. The program particularly invites applications from women. The accepted applicants will be offered coaching and training through IITA to build their research knowledge and skills. Awards for research grants are up to US$10 thousand.
