U.S. Department of State — Global Innovation through Science and Technology

The U.S. Department of State announces the notice of funding opportunity for the Global Innovation through Science and Technology (GIST) initiative. GIST supports projects that strengthen young innovators and entrepreneurs in low and middle income countries by connecting them with American businesses and experts. Proposed projects must address in-country training activities and pitch competitions; interactive online activities; early-stage investment networks; and website maintenance. Funding of US$1 million will be made available. Eligibility is limited to U.S. non-profit organizations and educational institutions. Foreign organizations will not be considered for this competition. The application deadline is 30 August 2019. Link
