The Critical Coastlines Grant Program funds community-based or non-profit organizations from around the world working to improve the resilience of coastal ecosystems. Threats relevant to this program include ecosystem collapse, climate change, rising sea levels, ocean pollution, ocean acidification, overfishing, and natural disasters. Selected winners receive US$10 thousand in support of their project. Eligibility extends to organizations and individuals. The application deadline is 30 September 2018. The wildlife photography contest series for 2018 is open. Wildlife Photo will award prizes worth US$18 thousand in total (including photography trips and equipment). A selection of winners and highly-commended images will be exhibited on an outdoor screen in New York City. The Cooperative Endangered Species Conservation Fund makes grants for projects that conserve the world’s most endangered species. Applicant must demonstrate a direct conservation benefit to the species or its habitat. While funding can only be granted to government agencies, individuals or groups may work with an eligible state government. The LAUNCH Circular Innovation Challenge 2018 focuses on new ways of design and manufacturing for a circular economy. Innovations should help customers live a more sustainable live. LAUNCH Circular aims to select ten innovations to be scaled globally through its international partners, network, and accelerator program. The program is open to innovators worldwide. The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) seeks applications for a cooperative agreement under the SERVIR Amazonia program. The program aims to help developing nations achieve more sustainable economic growth and improve environmental management, including addressing the impacts of climate change. USAID intends to provide from US$8.0 to US$9.0 million in total funding over a five-year period. Eligibility extends to established U.S. and non-U.S. organizations. The Columbus Zoo makes conservation grants for research, local community involvement, capacity building, environmental education, and behavior change leading to improved conservation of wildlife and habitat. Grant requests may range from US$1 thousand to US$25 thousand, but grants are limited to US$5 thousand for first-time applicants. First-time applicants must submit a pre-proposal. Zoos Victoria (Australia) helps build international conservation partnerships. The International Grants program is themed ‘Wildlife Conservation through Community Engagement’, recognising the importance of engaging people in protecting wildlife, while supporting sustainable development. Eligibility extends to any organization or group that is able to undertake projects in this theme. Grants are up to AUD 20 thousand for projects of one year. WWF-India offers grants up to INR 400 thousand for conservation research or action projects of up to two years. Grants are made to individuals to be utilized primarily for field activities. Priority is for research and conservation aligned with WWF’s program in India. The last date for submission of applications is 30 November 2018 (for the January term). About the program

The Bureau of Oceans and International Environmental and Scientific Affairs (OES) seeks international partnerships to implement the “U.S. Air Quality Capacity Building Fellowship” project, an international exchange program of American air quality experts with governments in targeted, highly-polluted countries. Selected organizations will manage the operations of the fellowship program, including the recruitment of Fellows, placement in host country governments as well as travel, and administrative support. Eligible countries under this award include: Argentina, Bangladesh, Brazil, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Ethiopia, Ghana, Guatemala, Honduras, India, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Macedonia, Malaysia, Mongolia, Nepal, Nicaragua, Nigeria, Panama, Peru, Philippines, South Africa, Tajikistan, Thailand, Uganda, and Vietnam. The U.S. Department of State announces a funding opportunity for Environmental Governance. The purpose of this project is to improve environmental governance, particularly to address the challenges of air pollution, water, and waste management in Morocco, Jordan, Oman, Panama, Peru, Colombia, Chile, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, and/or Honduras.
