The Crafting Tomorrow Program is a 12-week initiative by the Center for Climate Action and Innovation in Africa (CCAIE), supporting young innovators (ages 16-35) in Nigeria, Ghana, and Kenya. The fully funded program provides training in climate adaptation, sustainable entrepreneurship, and business development, culminating in a Pitch Day for investors. Applicants must have a strong interest in climate resilience and commit to the full program. Applications close on 25 January 2025. Climate Innovation in Africa

The European Climate Initiative (EUKI) calls for project ideas for transboundary climate action in Europe. Projects may propose forward-looking ideas in the areas of climate policy, energy, buildings and municipalities, mobility, agriculture, soils and forestry, awareness, climate-aligned finance, or sustainable economy. Financing of between €50 thousand and €1 million may be provided for each project. EUKI supports climate projects in EU member states, with a regional focus on Central, Eastern, and Southern Europe as well as the Baltic states. Non-profit organizations from EU accession candidate countries (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, and Turkey) may apply for financing as implementing partners. The Sustainable Energy Accelerator (SEA) is an innovation program aimed at promoting sustainable energy solutions and fostering entrepreneurship in the energy sector. The accelerator program provides selected participants with a supportive environment to develop their energy solutions. Applicants must be nationals of a Sub-Saharan African country and be between the ages of 21 and 40. The application deadline is 15 January 2025. Africa Sustainable Energy Accelerator

The Milkywire Climate Transformation Fund (CTF) is a charitable fund that supports pioneering projects needed to reach global net zero. The fund supports nature-based solutions implemented by non-profit organizations that help to adapt to and mitigate the effects of climate change, such as afforestation, reforestation, forest preservation, restoration of degraded lands, and projects that directly avoid or reduce emissions. Funding typically ranges from US$150 thousand to US$300 thousand. The current call for proposals closes 19 January 2025. Climate Transformation Fund

The Minor Foundation for Major Challenges funds communication projects that mitigate anthropogenic climate change. Proposals should focus on influencing public opinion, providing inspiration, changing attitudes, spreading information, etc. The Foundation welcomes applications from all over the world. The Foundation makes large grants ranging from €20 thousand to €200 thousand, although larger projects may be considered. The application deadlines to submit a Letter of Intent (LOI) are 22 January, 10 April, 29 May, 07 August, 15 October, and 27 November 2025. Climate Change Awareness

EKOenergy seeks project proposals to provide funding for solar and wind energy projects in low- and middle-income countries. The funding will be made available to renewable electricity projects aimed at alleviating energy poverty. All projects are managed by experienced organizations and are implemented in cooperation with local NGOs. EKOenergy will support 15-20 new projects of €15 thousand to €40 thousand each. The implementing organization must have experience in the field of renewable energy and prove strong involvement of local organizations. The deadline for proposals is 14 February 2025. EKOenergy

The 100,000 Strong in the Americas Innovation Fund, Alliance for Climate Action (100K CLIMA) competition invites higher education institutions from the United States and Colombia to create partnerships to submit proposals for consideration. The 100K CLIMA competition intends to award 10 grants of up to US$50 thousand each. The purpose of the competition is to provide funding to support innovative partnerships between HEIs that will result in inclusive, climate-focused, student/faculty exchange and training programs. The United Nations Global Marketplace (UNGM) launches the development and delivery of a Climate Finance Transparency Program. Partners are expected to provide capacity building to developing countries on climate finance transparency so that they can use what they have learnt to advance the implementation of their climate policies and actions. Financing for this activity ranges from US$40 thousand to US$60 thousand. Eligibility extends to non-profit organizations, intergovernmental organizations, for-profit entities, as well as academic and research institutions. The application deadline is 23 December 2024. Climate Finance Transparency Program

InsuResilience Solutions Fund (ISF) seeks projects with a holistic approach to disaster relief and preparedness. The Fund will support the development of new climate risk insurance products or the scaling-up of already existing products to increase the resilience of poor and vulnerable people in developing countries to climate change. The ISF provides grant-based co-funding of up to €2.5 million but requires matching the grant funding (in-kind and/or as a financial contribution). Eligibility extends to private and public organizations located in Asia and the Pacific, Africa, and Latin America. The application deadline is 07 February 2025. More information
