Climate Justice related scholarship applications may be in a science or applied science field as long as the application can demonstrate its relevance to climate justice-related matters. The Demand-Side Subsidies Results-based Financing Program aims to provide access to quality off-grid solar products and improved cookstove products by bridging the affordability gap for people in ultra-poor, vulnerable settings who would otherwise not be reached. The program targets poor populations in Malawi. Customers will be eligible to purchase one solar and cookstove product per household with the help of subsidies. The “Art on Climate” International Illustration Competition invites illustrators from the Asia-Pacific region to create artworks that address the theme of climate change. The goal is to provide a platform for the exchange of ideas and solutions to tackle climate change. Prizes range from €2,000 to €150. Any person aged 18 or above is eligible to participate. The Allianz Climate Risk Research Award supports scientific research that improves the understanding of climate change-related risks. PhD students from all around the world who are in the final stage of their research and postdoctoral researchers whose research focuses on reducing the risk of extreme weather events that are intensified by climate change; or fostering resilience by applying technological solutions are invited to apply. The Sustainable Energy Fund for Africa (SEFA) provides catalytic finance to unlock private-sector investments in renewable energy. SEFA offers technical assistance and concessional finance instruments.
