The International Water Resources Association (IWRA) invites applications for the World Water Envoys Program. Water Envoys will have the opportunity to participate in the 18th edition of the IWRA World Water Congress (China, September 2023) to discuss water issues and potential solutions. Envoys will be funded to come to Beijing, including economy round-trip, accommodation, full registration to the Congress, and one-year free membership to IWRA. Young people aged 18-35 from across the globe who are passionate about water resource management are invited to apply. The application deadline is 31 October 2022. World Water Envoys Program

The Erasmus Mundus Master’s programs International Master of Science in Environmental Technology and Engineering (IMETE) and Coastal Hazards, Risks, Climate Change Impacts and Adaptation (COASTHazar) are open for application. Both programs include studies at three institutions in three different countries. Scholarships are available on a competitive basis. Applications have to be submitted by 15 January 2023. The Young Water Diplomats Program is an interdisciplinary training and networking program for early-career diplomats engaged in international water and environmental politics. The program features online and in-person learning activities with the aim to enhance participants’ understanding of transboundary water challenges and advance their ability to use tools for water cooperation and diplomacy. The Global Freshwater Innovation Challenge seeks  innovative solutions to conserve and restore freshwater ecosystems. HCL has committed $15 million over five years to support water focused entrepreneurs. The first year’s challenge will focus on water quality restoration and ecosystem resilience. Eligibility extends to impact-oriented start-ups with pilot projects, social enterprises with sustainable business models, and businesses ready to scale. The last date to apply is 08 November 2022. The Global Water Partnership-Caribbean invites young Caribbean entrepreneurs (18-34 years) to submit innovative water-related project ideas to the Young Caribbean Water Entrepreneurs Shark Tank Competition. Project ideas should focus on water resources management in the Caribbean region and focus on one of five thematic areas: (1) Water and Climate; (2) Water and Agriculture; (3) Water and Health; (4) Water and Energy; (5) Water and Tourism. Participants will have the opportunity to pitch their ideas for a chance to secure seed funding of US$4 thousand. The deadline for submission of project ideas is 31 August 2022. The Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C) invites applications to the workshop “To Save the Water…Let’s Talk About Shit”. The workshop will focus on the roles of Youth and the Media in Caribbean Wastewater Management. Participation is open to Caribbean Youth and Journalists residing in Caribbean countries. As part of the workshop, participants will also be given the opportunity to create social media content to raise awareness amongst the wider public. The workshop will be open to young Caribbean nationals and Journalists aged 18-34 years. The Expression of Interest has to be submitted by 31 August 2022. Link to GWP-C

The Elisabeth & Amelie Fund supports sustainable water management in developing countries, among others by financing on-the-spot internships for students from developing countries who are studying in Belgium. The internship will take place in a developing country (the student’s country of origin or another country). The grant will cover the expenses inherent to the internship, up to a maximum of €5 thousand. The internships are for students from developing countries who are pursuing a master’s level degree that is linked to water management. The deadline for applications is 20 October 2022. Well Aware aims to help local communities in East Africa find sustainable solutions to address water scarcity and contamination. Well Aware aims to support its water projects with integrated project planning; technical evaluation; project oversight; promotion of partnerships; community training in sanitation and hygiene; and community empowerment. At this time, Well Aware is only actively implementing water projects in Kenya and Tanzania. Applications can be submitted at any time; there is no deadline. About Well Aware

MDPI, a publisher of peer-reviewed, open access journals, invites applications for the 2023 Water Travel Awards. Three awards of CHF 800 each will go to junior scientists to present an oral presentation and/or poster at an international conference in 2023.
