The U.S. Consulate announces funding to increase environmental awareness among people in Pakistan and address threats to the local environment and the impact that those threats may have on economic development. The project aims to better equip citizens in the northern areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with strategies to protect the environment and make the area more attractive to regional and international tourists. The grantee will carry out research on best practices for citizen activism and sustainable environmental tourism, with a particular focus on U.S. best practices. The estimated total project funding is US$40 thousand. Participation is restricted to non-profit organizations. All applications must be received by 14 March 2022. Link
