The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) seeks applications for funding for the development of food security activities in Ethiopia. USAID plans to award up to four cooperative agreements with the goal to improve food security of vulnerable households in targeted communities, contributing to a sustained reduction in rural poverty. The anticipated funding for all awarded multi-year activities is US$550 million over a five-year period. U.S. and foreign NGOs, as well as public international organizations are eligible to apply.
