The Beit Trust makes grants in Malawi, Zambia, and Zimbabwe for education, health, welfare, and wildlife and the environment.
Grant Programs for Agriculture, Energy, Environment, Natural Resources
Wildlife, environment, and water. Among several thematic areas, the Trust supports educational and extension projects related to environmental issues, mainly in wildlife conservation.
Additionally, the Trust’s interests in community welfare include drinking water and irrigation water in each of Malawi, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
Grants do not normally exceed £50 thousand.
General inquiries should be directed to the Beit Trust Secretary in the UK. Inquiries for infrastructure projects should be directed to the Beit Trust Representative in Harare.

Note: Due to present uncertainties within Zimbabwe, funds for the construction of major projects will not be granted at this time.
The Trust provides a limited number of postgraduate scholarships for candidates domiciled in Malawi, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. The scholarships are for relevant courses at universities in the UK, Republic of Ireland, and South Africa. The Trust also offers bursaries.
The Fund provides the background of Alfred Beit and the evolution of the Trust, which is over 100 years old.
