Triodos Bank focuses on financial support for sustainable “green” organizations in sectors such as agriculture and energy. The bank established the Triodos Foundation with an objective to promote social innovation, and to contribute to an ethical use of money.
The Foundation’s thematic areas are Nature and Environment; People and Society; and International Cooperation. (Note: Grants in the first two themes focus on actions in the Netherlands and other European countries.)

International Cooperation. This thematic area includes grassroots projects in sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, water supply, fair trade, and environmental protection. The international program also makes grants for health and education.
