Grant Programs for Agriculture, Energy, Environment, Natural Resources

1 — Grants to Civil Society Organizations and Businesses. FCDO provides grants through several programs and channels to support its objectives in partner regions and countries.

FCDO makes grants to development NGOs and related civil society organizations in the UK and in the developing world through multiple programs.

In 2011, FCDO created a Private Sector Department to elevate the level of its engagement with business partners in the UK.

Additionally, FCDO manages thematic and geographical grant making in selected regions and countries.

APPLICATION: Most of FCDO’s grant opportunities for civil society are through competitive calls for proposals, with deadlines arising during different periods of the year. Each call provides guidelines, forms, supporting materials, and contact information.
