The Zayed Future Energy Prize is among the world’s largest annual prize funds in renewable energy and sustainability.
The Prize honors the development philosophy of the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, former head of state and conservation leader of the United Arab Emirates.
Grant Programs for Agriculture, Energy, Environment, Natural Resources
Prizes in renewable and sustainable energy. This is a worldwide prize for excellence in innovation, development, and implementation of solutions for renewable and sustainable energy. The Energy Prize has five categories:
- Large corporations;
- Small and medium enterprises (SMEs);
- Non-governmental organizations (NGOs);
- Individuals (for lifetime achievement); and
- Global high schools (awards to one high school in each of the Americas, Europe, Africa, Oceania, and Asia).
The prize amounts are US$1.5 million in the category SME; US$1.5 million in the category NGO; US$500 thousand for lifetime achievement; and up to US$100 thousand per high school. The winning corporate nominations do not receive monetary prizes (honorary only).
