Heineken International is among the world’s largest producers and distributors of beer and ciders.
As a part of its commitment to Africa, the Heineken Africa Foundation makes grants for water, health, and sanitation (WASH). The Foundation operates in African countries where Heineken has a local operating company.
Grant Programs for Agriculture, Energy, Environment, Natural Resources
Water and Health. The Heineken Africa Foundation funds projects to improve mother/child care, and projects for water, sanitation, and health (WASH). Projects are located in African countries where Heineken has a local operating presence.
Projects are managed as partnerships of the Foundation, the Heineken operating companies, and local and international partners. Partners can be government organizations, development agencies, NGOs, and international organizations.
Grants are up to €100 thousand per year for a maximum of three years.
Potentially interested local and international partners contact the Heineken operating companies to discuss their project proposals.
There is an annual deadline for proposal submission.

The Foundation’s current level of support is approximately €1 million per year.
