Cultural Survival — Grants for Indigenous Community Radio Stations

Cultural Survival supports Indigenous community radio projects. The Indigenous Community Media Grants are intended to strengthen local and regional community radio stations to revitalize Indigenous cultures, protect ancestral territories and natural resources, and promote women’s leadership. Eligibility extends to Indigenous community radio stations in Mexico, Guatemala, Belize, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Bolivia, Peru, Colombia, Ecuador, Brazil, Paraguay, Argentina, Nepal, North India, Botswana, Philippines, Indonesia, Congo, Cambodia, Namibia and South Africa. Individual radio stations can apply for up to US$6 thousand. In 2022, a limited number of proposals from radios and other media ecosystems such as print, television, audiovisual production, and community internet will be accepted. The deadline for submissions is 02 March 2022. Know more
