Since 1991, the Aeon Environmental Foundation has been making grants and awards to organizations and individuals for conservation fieldwork in Japan and developing countries.
Grant Programs for Agriculture, Energy, Environment, Natural Resources
MIDORI Prize for Biodiversity. The MIDORI Prize for Biodiversity was established in 2010 to honor individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity at global, regional, or local levels. Every two years, the MIDORI Prize is awarded to three individuals, each of whom receives a monetary prize of US$100 thousand.
APPLICATION: The Prize posts nomination guidelines. Nominations state the reason why the nominee deserves the Prize, along with a summary of the nominee’s work and achievements.
The nomination is submitted by email before the indicated calendar deadline.

Note: Outside of Japan, the Foundation is most active in China and Southeast Asia.
The Foundation uses tree planting as a gesture of international good will and peace.
The Foundation supports occasional conferences and symposia in Japan and in the developing countries on themes related to protection of the global environment.
