Protection of the Asian elephant. The Elephant Family supports field projects that directly aid wild elephant conservation in any of the Asian range states: India, Thailand, Indonesia (Sumatra), Malaysia (Borneo), Myanmar, and Cambodia.

Eligible expenses include salaries, capital costs and overheads. The Charity will also consider land purchase, leasing or licensing.

There is no maximum or minimum grant but projects over £100 thousand per year are unlikely to be funded. Small grants of up to £1,000 will also be considered but most of the funds will likely go to larger projects.

APPLICATION: Applications will only be considered from charities, NGOs, universities, government agencies, or other not-for-profit organizations.

Applications must be submitted in English. Guidelines, a grant application form and budget template are available on the charity’s website. Applications are accepted on an annual grant cycle.
