Grant Programs for Agriculture, Energy, Environment, Natural Resources

Grants for Species Conservation. The Fund makes grants for the conservation of endangered and poorly known species anywhere in the world.

The Fund is primarily interested in in situ species conservation, but will consider applications for ex situ projects in certain circumstances where they are critical for the survival of the species concerned. Most grants to date are for projects in developing countries, especially in tropical zones.

Grant recipients include national and local NGOs and other civil society organizations focused on conservation and development, as well as major conservation organizations that work internationally. Priority is given to projects that support the professional development of young conservationists.

The maximum grant is US$25 thousand.
