The AXA Research Fund was created in 2008 with the purpose of helping to understand and prevent environmental, life, and socio-economic risks. The Fund makes grants to support research in risk management.
Grant Programs for Agriculture, Energy, Environment, Natural Resources
Environmental Risks. AXA’s interests in environmental risk include climate change, natural hazards, and human-driven environmental changes.
Research should contribute to one or more of the following topics:
- Risk identification and definition;
- Risk assessment and measurement;
- Risk modeling;
- Risk mitigation;
- Decision-making processes when facing risks; and
- Risk prevention.
About programs
APPLICATION: The AXA Fund invites applications for academic Chairs and Post-Doctoral Fellowships.
Applications for Chairs and Fellowships are submitted by universities and other research institutions in eligible countries, including several countries of the developing world. The institutions pre-register in order to compete for available funding.
The research institutions manage the pre-selection of applicants before choosing finalist proposals to be submitted to AXA.
