Italy-Italian Development Cooperation
Grants for projects in agriculture, environment, and natural resources
Principal Office: Italy
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Development Cooperation, and particularly its DGCS for Development Cooperation (Direzione General per la Cooperazione allo Sviluppo), is responsible for Italy’s development assistance in collaboration with other key Italian institutions. Italian cooperation with developing countries aims to combat poverty, and to strengthen institutions in terms of good governance.
Italy’s priorities in development assistance include agriculture and food security, and environment and natural resources (e.g., biodiversity, climate change, desertification, forests) — among others.
