The Shuttleworth Foundation provides funding to people with innovative ideas who engage in projects that inspire social change. The Foundation is constantly looking for social innovators who have a fresh perspective on addressing social challenges.

The Foundation provides funding and fellowships to innovative people with the aim to multiply their business idea.

Grant Programs for Agriculture, Energy, Environment, Natural Resources

Fellowship Grant & Co-Investment. The Shuttleworth Foundation invests in leaders who want to implement an innovative, self-sustaining business idea in subject areas that include agriculture, conservation, health, energy, water, and several others.

Grant are to innovative leaders worldwide and consist of two components – a fellowship grant and co-investment project funding.

The fellowship grant covers the cost of the Fellow’s time for a year and potential project funding of $250 thousand is set aside per Fellow per year as investment.

About the Fellowship

APPLICATION: The Foundation posts application guidelines and eligibility criteria.

An application requests information about the proposed project, a 5 minute application video and a resume.

Grant seekers can consult Current Fellows and their projects for an overview of the types of projects attractive to the Shuttleworth Foundation.

In addition, twice a year the Foundation makes Small Grants of $5,000 to a collection of social change agents nominated by current Fellows.
