The Big Give is an online platform of several thousand charitable projects in thematic areas that include environment and animals, emergencies and development, and several others. Donors view the project profiles and make funding contributions through an online process.
Most listed charities are based in the UK, although the Big Give allows charities in other countries to register if they are approved by the UK’s tax authority (i.e., HM Revenue and Customs).

Online project profiles. Projects in The Big Give include many in environmental conservation, small-scale agriculture, water and sanitation, renewable energy, and other themes relevant in developing countries.
Organizations that post projects are NGOs, foundations, universities, professional associations and networks, and other types of nonprofit charitable organizations.
Projects are located in the UK and all world regions (Africa, Americas, Asia, Europe, Middle East, Oceania, and Worldwide). Fundraising targets range from £1 thousand to £1 million and more.
About the program
APPLICATION: Organizations eligible to receive funding through The Big Give must be registered with the English or Scottish Charity Commissions, or must have tax-exempt status for charitable purposes granted by the UK’s tax authority (HMRC).
Organizations register by providing information about their missions, staffing, governance, and bank details.
Registered organizations are able to upload project profiles that identify project locations, aims, activities, budgets, risks, measures of success, and beneficiaries.
