The IWMF created the African Great Lakes Reporting Initiative (AGLRI) to provide training and support for female in-country journalists from the Central African Republic, Congo, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda. The aim is to provide necessary funding to independent journalists to cover under-reported issues including issues of empowerment, democracy, food security, and conservation efforts. Grants will be awarded to cover reporting-related costs, including travel, and average between US$10 thousand to US$15 thousand. Applications are accepted until 21 August 2018. Interested?
