Loughborough University — Modern Energy Cooking Services Research Projects

The MECS Challenge Fund provides early-stage research funding to stimulate innovations in modern energy cooking technology in low-income countries. Community-Scale pilot studies can request up to £60 thousand, but preference will be given to projects with matched funding. Market assessments for efficient electric cooking appliances may be supported with up to £20 thousand in match funding. The majority of the project work will need to be completed within 6 or 12 months. The MECS Challenge Fund is open to all companies and organisations based anywhere in the world.
