Royal Geographical Society — Gilchrist Fieldwork Award

The Gilchrist Fieldwork Award is an award given by the Gilchrist Educational Trust, administered by the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG). The aim of the award is to support a challenging overseas fieldwork projects carried out by a team of university academics and researchers. The award is limited to UK applicants but there should be strong links and collaborations with local agencies and communities, Applicants have to demonstrate local benefits in their applications. The biennial award offers £15 thousand. Previous winning themes include climate change, ecosystem function, climate science and ocean circulation. Please also note that The Gilchrist Fieldwork Award is currently not open for applications. More
