Friedrich Ebert Foundation — Scholarships for International PhD Students

The Friedrich Ebert Foundation supports international students from Africa, Asia, Latin America and Eastern Europe who study at universities in Germany. (Note: The FES only awards scholarships to applicants from abroad who have already enrolled in a German university or have a supervisor for their doctoral studies.) International students from all subjects (except the medical disciplines) are eligible to apply for this scholarship. Foreign scholarship holders receive up to €1 thousand per month over a period of two to three years, plus family allowance (if applicable). Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
